Here’s our Monday digest of the 5 new shows Stagedoor users are most excited to see this week (29 April – 5 May)

1. Death of a Salesman

Runs from 1 May until 29 June at the Young Vic

Marianne Elliot directs Arthur Miller’s timeless classic in this hotly anticipated production starring Wendell Pierce (making his UK stage debut) as well as Sharon D. Clarke and Arinzé Kene.

2. Henry V, or Harry England

Runs from 30 April until 11 October at Shakespeare’s Globe

The latest installment in the Globe’s run of Shakespeare’s history plays sees the Young Prince Hal come into his own as King Henry V, leading his forces to war across the Channel.

3. Twelfth Night

Runs from 4 May until 21 August at Shakespeare’s Globe

Brendan O’Hea directs Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night as part of a trio of plays being performed throughout the summer by the Globe’s Touring Ensemble which are looking to tackle themes of refuge and displacement.

4. Amour

Runs from 2 May until 20 July at the Charing Cross Theatre

This Tony Award-nominated musical brings to life a 1950s Paris in which a shy young man develops the ability to walk through walls. Righting the world’s ills and wooing the girl of his dreams are top of the agenda.

5. Jock Night

Runs from 30 April until 11 May at King’s Head Theatre

The incredible team behind sell-out shows Gypsy Queen and #BeMoreMartyn: The Boy with the Deirdre Tattoo bring their latest production, Jock Night, to the King’s Head Theatre, inviting audiences to the ultimate after-party.
