1. Richard III

Runs from 13 March until 31 March at Alexandra Palace

Headlong bring their production of Richard III, directed by John Haidar and starring Tom Mothersdale, to Alexandra Palace marking the return of theatre to the venue for the first time in eighty years!

2. Ballet Black – Double Bill

Runs from 14 March until 17 March at the Barbican Centre

Ballet Black return to the Barbican following three previous sell-out seasons with new show Double Bill comprising two original works that fuse ballet with African dance, singing and narrative.

3. Downstate

Runs from 12 March until 27 April at the National Theatre

Pam MacKinnon directs a co-production with Steppenwolf Theatre Company of Bruce Norris’ provocative new play exploring themes of forgiveness and retribution in the wake of sexual abuse.

4. A Night at the Musicals

Runs from 11 March until 23 March at the Soho Theatre

No musical is safe from the “Les Misérmassacre” treatment as Le Gateau Chocolat and Jonny Woo return to the Soho Theatre with their award-winning show following a sell-out run.

5. The Magic Flute

Runs from 14 March until 11 April at the London Coliseum

Simon McBurney’s five-star production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute returns to English National Opera starring Lucy Crowe and Rupert Charlesworth and marking an ENO debut for conductor Ben Gernon, Principal Guest at the BBC Philharmonic.
